I do use a flat iron though and I constantly obssess about leaving that on although the damn thing doesn't get hot enough to straighten my hair, let alone catch fire. Oh, and birth control pill-did I take it? I don't remember. Did I feed the dog? More often than not I leave my lunch sitting on the counter, too. The house was gutted inside, redone, and sold to the blogger. How did the fire start that killed the previous owner? There was an old alarm clock downstairs (the kind where the numbers flip down -- Groudhog Day and LOST style) and there were some clothes laying on top of the clock.
